How do I know if Pet Travel International is the right pet relocation company for my pet? 

We look at your pet/s overall relocation, in regards to the cost, the requirements and overall logistics of your pet/s relocation. We discuss with you options and costs involved with your pets relocation. We want our clients to feel comfortable throughout the entire process. We welcome all of your questions and want to make sure that you are comfortable with your pets relocation plans. 

What Services does Pet Travel International provide? 

Pet Travel International will arrange the flight, assistance on the proper travel crate, provide necessary documents needed for vet visits or the USDA (international travel). If you require additional assistance with getting your pet to/ from the airport, customs clearance, boarding, etc. let us know what services you need assistance with and Pet Travel International will provide you with quotes for the services you request or require and go from there. It is important that we are transparent in any additional costs involved with your pet's relocation.

What type of pets do you ship? 

We specialize on shipping domestic cats and dogs. However we can look into other types of pets as well based on a case by case basis depending on availability of agents, travel timeline, departure/arrival locations and airline options.*Please note some exotic breeds may require special permits and health certificates to travel domestically or internationally.

Is the travel crate included in your agent fee? 

The travel crate is not included in our fee. We will provide you with a recommended crate shopping list to outline which brand/s are accepted by the airlines and which brands to avoid. Additionally we can offer recommendations where to find the right crate for your pet based on their breed size and weight.

How do you avoid temperature restrictions?  

We follow each airlines guidelines regarding temperature restrictions. Some airlines do have temperature restrictions and those airlines will not allow pets to travel if it is too hot or too cold based on that airlines rules and guidelines. This is where Pet Travel International comes in we do the research on which airline will best accommodate your pets relocation needs and provide you with the best flight options.

HOW DO YOU AVOID TEMPERATURE RESTRICTIONS?

We follow each airlines guidelines regarding temperature restrictions. Some airlines do have temperature restrictions and those airlines will not allow pets to travel if it is too hot or too cold based on that airlines rules and guidelines. This is where Pet Travel International comes in we do the research on which airline will best accommodate your pets relocation needs and provide you with the best flight options.

WHAT TYPES OF TRANSPORT ARE AVAILABLE?

We prefer air travel since this will get your pet to their final destination the fastest. However there are some situations where a particular breed is on embargo with the airlines or your pet is too large to fit in the cargo hold of the aircraft. If this is your situation we can review other possible options that may better fit your pet's relocations needs.

IS AIR TRAVEL SAFE FOR MY PET?

Yes! The area of the aircraft your pet will be traveling in is temperature controlled (within 10 degrees of the passenger cabin), it is pressurized and oxygenated. 


In addition to this pets are required to have a health exam within 10 days of their travel date. As long as your pet is healthy they should have no issues with air travel. 

If your pet has a medical condition this does not automatically mean they cannot travel by air special accommodations can be made in MOST situations. Let us know if your pet has an underlying medical issue and we can work with you on possible options to make your pet's relocation as stress free as possible.

Our estimate provides a breakdown of the total cost for: 

Pet Travel Agent fee- this is our fee for creating your pet's travel plan, booking the flight, travel documents and any coordination of any additional services you may require. 

Airfare: this is based on your pet's weight in their travel crate with accessories. 

Vet Packet: (International only) pre-filled documents for the final vet visit, pre-paid FED EX shipping to/from the USDA and payment for the USDA endorsement. This packet fee is based on the country your pet is traveling to and how many pets are traveling. 

Travel Packet: all of the documents you will need to check your pet in with the airline. We email this to everyone involved with your pet's relocation and mail the hard copies to the person that will be handling the airport check in. 

The Estimate does not include rates for additional services. 

Additional Services: 

We will get a quote for the additional services you may require assistance with for you to review BEFORE we move forward with that particular service.
